About the Author

Cynthia CournoyerOnce a certified natural childbirth educator, Cynthia Cournoyer began questioning vaccines after the birth of her first child in 1981. She saw a similar pattern in how other parents who doubted the reasoning behind the practice of vaccinating were also legitimately concerned for their children.

Cynthia first published What About Immunizations? in 1983 after she researched arguments against vaccinating children. She discovered that vaccination is an inseparable part of our culture and continues because of a pervasive vaccine philosophy, stronger than any political or economic structure in society.

Cynthia wrote the 7th edition of What About Immunizations? using the perspective of raising three never-vaccinated children to adulthood, with no regrets.

Cynthia Cournoyer is a violinist and freelance writer living in Oregon.
